Like a covered midnight sky Shrouded by the clouds that cry No moon to see, nor starry sea Desolate as one can be Barren, black and darkly growing Withered in the wind that’s blowing Every night I fight despair I fight this cold and lonely air Afraid of what I’m destined for A worthless life that all ignore Dismayed I lay beside a grave Clasp onto the cross and crave thinking i just want to die i start to dig and sadly cry I toss aside the earth and dirt digging deeper than i hurt Agonized and out of breath As if I’m digging for my Death For death above ignores me so So for death I’ll dig below Three feet, four feet, five feet now One more foot to dig somehow Six feet deep at last I weep For In this casket I will sleep I’ll dream forever more of life For while awake it gave me strife Finally now at peace in Death At last I love the life I left
