In The Nighttime
In The Night You come out late at night, Your darkness turns to light. When the vampyres roam, After you write a depressed poem. Out comes your faith, That died bore Jesus came. You’re a blinding mystery, That sees flaws among history. In the day you play with voodoo dolls, And search for reasons for the ghost roaming your hall. You wear sandals in the snow, Why? No one knows. Your smile will not wash away, Until your shadows get in the way. You’re too beautiful, With your edge and charm. Gentle when I’m in your arms, Seducing skillfully, Choosing lovers carefully. You feed off of fears, To hold back your tears. But I have seen you in the night, When your darkness turns to light. I turn the bright lights down, And in my presence you let yourself drown. Inspired by a Sarah Mclockin song, but was written for my lover, girlfriend, soul-mate, my own darkness, my vampy.
