Inside My Other Eye
One of my favorite poems. Wrote this in History class in 8th grade. Hope you enjoy. Two faced, Can't you see? the part of me inside my other eye. Blood shot, Don't ask. You wouldn't understand, anymore. It seems as if my true colors are coming out Black leaks in and washes my light away. I can't see the white, in the box, I can only see the red, inside my other eye. Split personality, Perfect responsibility, Notice me, and my ways, as long as you can see the red, inside my other eye. The light has faded, My box of color has jaded me to believing that I'm worthless Look at me, Are these colors meant to be seen? blue, green, light's not seen. yellow, red, drop down dead. white me out white, paint me pitch black, so I cant be seen. Make me a crayon, on your medicine shelf, to let you see the true colors in me hopefully you'll see the red inside my other eye.
