Introduction to "Nightfall" poems Everyday I walk along The sea of death Where I belong and In the maelstom I can see That you alone have come for me Not alone In an empty hole these pools of blood I fill my soul Everyday I die I dont know why Something must come Tired eyes blind to some And every day that passes A death left unfufilled With every passing day Blood left unspilled Oh the thoughts, the thoughts, the thoughts Will I ever get some sleep tonight But this candle still burns bright Behind the layer of the light Now Heavenly shades of black are falling Alone in the dark but delighted Falling down to earth; slumber calling Heart be cold and benighted
