Is love blind?
Her unseeing eyes never saw my flaws never flinched from my uneven face, her eyes couldn’t judge my clothes or my shoes, never noticed my hair out of place. Her unseeing eyes never wished me away, never craved for my company’s cease, her blind loving gaze, looked into my soul, our love, was a dark flawless peace. A miracle came, to her unseeing eyes, the veil of her darkness was lifted, and slowly the vision of once blinded love, was by sight, a passion that shifted? Her eyes couldn’t hide as she looked on my face, aglint of alarm and revulsion? Her flinch at my touch, betrayed her real thoughts, as I braced for her words of repulsion. Her hand softly brushed, the scars of my cheek, her sweet words of love broke my fears, her lips gently kissed my imperfect face her eyes, once more blind, but by tears. I love you, the man, not the shell of your soul not the vessel that carries your heart I love you, the man, my beautiful friend. And my love, it will never depart.
