Is this the start of the end? a response

So, will the end come from war, nature, the alignment of the stars? will we be saved by aliens when the end draws near? Will we learn all the secrets kept from us over the past 100 years when there is no doubt that the world has reached it's end? Trust me...there are plenty of secrets. What's amazing to me is that we know we are destroying the planet and yet we keep going merrily down the same path....still using oil when the technology is there for solar power to run everything...still taxing the middle class to death while the rich hide their earnings in tax shelters. (if the rich paid the same percentage of taxes that the middle class pays - we'd have no deficit). Keep throwing money at wasteful entities like NASA when our schools are run on shoestring budgets. This continues year after year and the populous has become so docile...happy in their own little worlds of Ipods and do-all cellphones that they just don't give a rat's ass...and big Government is owned by Corporate America and they just love having us lost in our superficial world. Pink Floyd did an album...maybe the 70's, called 'Animals'. It's all right there! okay...I'm done! (I responded to Stevemac's piece...' Is this the start of the end? ' and decided to submit it as a piece...so here ya go!)
