Isolate

·ChilledSunshine

Turn me inside out. Withdraw quivering fingertips that long to trace your edges into oblivion. Point these razor sharp ridges inward, grate bone, and languish in the powder-fine sand that was once my spine. Even steel can melt beneath a fiery gaze so hot moth wings are singed before they even know what they want. Tears drop upon ashen cheeks that are clinging tighter to teeth so as not to miss your touch. You taught me all I still don’t know about love. Darkness eases the ache that presses behind these too dry eyes. In silence you will not hear my whispered goodbyes. I am just a sigh in the night fading, concentrating, isolating.
