It's OUR Country!

Madiba fought for freedom for 27 years Stayed in the darkness, alone with his fears If the fight is over why does the violence persist There is evil in us all, and some cannot resist Are we fighting for our country, so the world hears our cries Stopand look at yourselves through the rest of the world's eyes Is this how we want to be known As the nation where no mercy is shown This can't be who we really are inside There must be some good hidden beneath the thick hide Are we just another third world country, as they say Or do we have the determination to be better one day If we are strong then let's hold our heads high once again Stop the violence, bring an end to the pain Let's not forget that we fought our fight through Now think how you'd feel if the tortured one was you...
