Janet(te) Here’s this old dear Running around the house Buttering bread Plenty of butter Cutting tinned ham Salting tomatoes Pinafore on… Self gratifying And Providing as expected …It is plain bread cut wee Wee funny mallow and jam teacake biscuit things, pink wafers and Blue Ribands ‘What’s that horsey comb for Granny? Curls?’ ‘Come in… Come in and sit yourself down’ Sadly missed Bobby, sadly missed Could’ve ate that ‘til a band played May, Jim, Frank and Ellen could’ve too Then some guy’s band played a tune Some guy like Jim Reeves Just not enough reward Not for all that effort Feels almost like Kind of like Injustice And It Is.
