Jim Crockett's tavern * After a long ride south through Manchester, Tennessee I came to a place, where I thought I'd enjoy a meal. * As I pulled into the parking lot, the place looked packed The place had been billed as being davy crockett's dad's * They displayed various Davy crockett objects familiar, Coonskin cap, longrifle, andSOME replicated memorabilia * Two waitresses instantly awaited to seat me And it seemed they were intent on making me feel cozy * I ordered a cheeseburger and the buffalo fries It all tasted great... till the great surprise! * As the manager stopped and asked me aloud "How was my meal", I announced outloud * "Everything about it appeased my senses, Except for that guY, over on the next benches" * He looked perplexed as I pointed to him A giant cockroach that was ugly as sin * "Now if you don't mind - I'll take the rest to go, I think I've lost my appetite, I don't want any more! * But I heard him exclaim as I drove out of sight "you can rest assured mam, there's no charge tonight!" * WordPlaya, july 2009
