I knew it I knew it I knew she wouldn't do it. I influenced them the best I could, Even though she knew it. I told them I told them I spoke the words to hold them. When she went there I sent them too, And hoped that she would scold them. But she blew it She blew it Sometimes it seems she knew it. She saw her chains, She Saw theirs too, And guessed what made me do it. But she don't know The things I know. The pressure, both from high and low Of 'When are you going?' And 'Where do we go?' She don't see me home at night When I'm wondering 'Is it right to hurt her so And live her life?' She doesn't seem to comprehend That loosening chains for her and them Will tighten mine. What happens then???
