Journey of promises

·Snawel

Journey of promises Kindred spirits with fatal flaws Run deep through crevasses and veins Listening to rhythmic beats on ancient drums Hearts pounding, throat dries as death approach. A love betrayed through weakness of the heart My soul delivered as offering to gods Willingly given with promises of eternal life Lifeblood spilled on nature’s bed No regrets but memories of joys Sinking into the abyss as I close my eyes Freefalling down, arms outstretched My sun has set, lifeblood ended As eagles receives the one who was lost I am back where it all begun As another soul’s episode is being spun
