Joys from the darkness

Who needs a day To countdown time To mark the passing moments To breathe in the endless duel Of the sun and the moon Of gravity and god Of life and death Such emptiness in hours Filled with the void of silence Broken only by the sound Of a heart that mourns The loss of itself After losing the battle Against that fiend called love Yet from the darkness Came an equal spirit Of torture and pain But of endless hope That our scars can heal And the burden shared By becoming one Those eyes that gazed into mine Told the story of a search now ended Where in the desert A single tear drop can cause a flood To wash away the past and sorrows And give another chance to rekindle The joys of love.
