Just an Observation
I can look at this From the slant of a lover. I have been loved. Swell, but I learned That Good Guy is A throbbing pipe dream. It doesn't even go that way. In painting, I found us. We found ourselves Staring without words He expresses himself Simply. Did he almost kiss me? He's not so bold. I left it wide open To the point of lingering. This time, he didn't run, I did. He chose the cheek And a gentle caress On the back, Hand inside of my jacket, Tender. He went in, Bought me medicine. He shows love with gestures, Needs to be invited To show affection. Yet, when released Unfettered and fierce "Che cos'e'? Che cos'e'?" What rowdy joy! A wink in the kitchen, A mouthful, A beautiful bite of clams, Two fervent brushes In two weeks. Can I feel content? I do, in moments. I want it to remain so. Yet I choose to get bent.
