It's just like yesterday we were together in body and soul it's just like time and promises unkept to take their toll It's just like words to slip our mouths and make us fall it's just like a hope chest to have nothing there at all It's just like the cold north wind to chill me to the bone and it's just like yesterday to leave me here today alone It's just like my looking glass to show the creases upon my face it's just like my patience to leave my presence without a trace It's just like the love we knew was ours no one denies it's just likethe memories to bring the waters that fill my eyes It's just like this winding road to lead me far from home and it's just like yesterday to leave me here today alone
