Just Past The Skin

01 May 2008

·Tai!s

Stop pretending to be what they want you to be. No one's fooled; you're just kidding yourself. Just because you don't like what you see When you look in the mirror; But not past the skin. You try to pretend that you're the perfect for them, But time after time, you fail them when it counts. Crushing spirts, breaking hearts, without a second glance, Back at the men who've fallen for you, only to realize They hadn't seen past the skin. Maybe one day you'll figure it out, Why you can never let go; find someone you trust. It's because you're too scared, fragile and shy To let anyone in, and see who you are. Just past the skin.
