Keep it inside

Every time I see you, I know what I want to say. It’s true that I think of you, Every night and every day. But when I look at you and see your face, My thoughts just leave my head. I lose my nerve and lose my voice, Those words remain unsaid. Each and every time this happens, I sit and wonder why. I don’t speak up and tell you, But just keep it all inside. This is my chance ‘cos you’re not here, But I’ll know one day you’ll hear this. Maybe that day you’ll realise, How difficult this is. I truly think you’re beautiful, You are beyond compare. I wish that I could be with you, To show I really care. I’ve told you now I’ve said my piece, I hope that you’ll see why. I don’t want to lose you ever, That’s why I’ll keep it all inside.
