King of Convenience

These are the bitter stings of tears These are the punches of sorrow These are the lies that you fill me with These are the chains that are still binding These are the trials and tribulations of a drugged fiend These are the lines that I draw These are the truths that I abide These are the words I’m too afraid to speak These are the same words that come alive differently And I say with less confidence With faltering demeanor With quivering voice With trembling hands And you can walk into my life at anytime You can walk out of my life at anytime And you can bring me to life at anytime You can break me down at anytime You’re my very own king of convenience
