One night a girl named Jenny Was driving in her car She parallel parked on the side of the curb And walked into the bar The atmosphere smelled strongly Of smoke and booze And it was also filled up With a bunch of rebellious dudes But there was this one particular guy That caught her eye He was standing up against the wall And she couldn’t figure out why She developed the courage To walk up to this guy She asked him for his name And he told her that his name was Ty He was wearing a leather jacket Along with a collared shirt and tie He also had blonde hair And crystal blue eyes He asked Jenny if he Could buy her a drink She looked up at him and smiled And asked him “What do you think?” He took that as a yes And ordered a couple of beers Ty and Jenny made a toast And they both said cheers Then Ty asked Jenny If she would like to come back to his place She said “I don’t know That’s a bit much for a first date But I guess that wouldn’t be so bad Because you seem pretty cool Just no sex on the first night That’s my number one rule.” So Ty escorted Jenny Out of the bar On to the street And into her car She realized that Ty Drove a purple corvette Purple was probably His favorite color she bet So they both shifted gears And she followed Ty home Who knows what’s going to happen next Once they are behind closed doors all alone By Glenn McCrary © 2009 Glenn McCrary (All rights reserved)
