Lady Of The Sea

Lady watches the ocean swell Hears an echo in a pale pink shell Whispering voice, it can only compel Every guilty transgression to tell Fraught heart looks to the sea Sends out a fervent plea, effortlessly ‘Bring absolution, to make me guilt-free’ The ear of the sea listens mercifully Salt air be-frosts the hair Glistens the tears in bright eyes that stare Seduces the tongue all its secrets to share And tempers the edge of despair Lost soul searches the tide Seeking out somewhere a lost soul can hide Hoping that there is some place to reside While the turbulent waters subside Ebb and flow, what does she know? Where do confessions of millions go? Deeply to dwell in the grave undertow Of the restless, dark currents below

Started writing poems at age 14, lyrics a lot later and am still doing both to my astonishment. Along the way I wrote a couple of novels and they are published by Amazon. I am gloriously happy in my marriage, after 50 years and I am relieved to say...
