Lady of Venice 24 February 2009 Oh Lady of Venice Once was I A drifter, I reminisce Those days gone by Young was I and the world was mine Lady of Venice So drunk with life Your vias I miss Mysterious and quaint Meandering thirst All merchants faint Lady of Venice No day brighter then Each day was mine No moment spent Her bosom like wine Romantic in dress I float on her shawl Leave them in guess Oh Lady of Venice So young was I With a pen at hand I bid you goodbye They gather in motion And wave as I drift Afflicted by potions Tranquil I sit They chant and they rave I reminisce and do crave Lady of Venice You charm with your wit By day and by night With your spell they are lit Amongst them they fight I do reminisce Oh Lady of Venice Those days we were young Love was pure and the world, mine Days we had it sung Days dreamy and divine.
