LAND OF MY SKULL
Africa A black scar that kisses the Indian ocean A dark continent A womb pregnant with riches Gold, diamonds, bronze The least is an abyss A hot climated jovial black woman Whose skin is a playground Skinned and tattered Seduced and raped Bruised and battered Africa's bossom is a nestling place Heaven and hell for foreign race Heaven and hell for separated and widowed Or divorced souls Africa A dirty and dingy cluster Although lucrative to retail merchants But,dear africa I love you just the same With your woes and ills Your laughter and trouble A beauty manifested by your careless And ceaseless struggles Inspite of it all Africa, you are The land of my skull
