Languish in its Light
Languish in Its Light Always there… Standing stalwart, Reverently reaching out, “Come, come to me… And find peace”. We lived across the street. Everyday it’s mere existence Gave me solid strength. Willing me to go on… Through pain, depression, Darkness and sin It always reflected a glow. I was reminded daily, That this building, A structure of wood… Housed a higher power. It gave room for soul saving Miracles happening Right on my block. It might be your Mosque… Your synagogue… Your Cathedral or Pagoda. It was my Church Accepting of everyone, To languish in its light. I am a Registered Nurse.. I have loved writing for as far back as I can remember. My first writing was experienced by drawing as a child. In 7th grade I wrote a poem about Abraham Lincoln that won an award and was read on the radio in Salt Lake City....
