Lay in Waiting

Heavy and slow, I lay my head and wait Sounds of breeze grow louder in time My minds noise tighter in focus Eyes unruly and open I lay and wait for times crawl A numbers slow unwind Lines fade to grey A steady rolling motion One days thoughts described in colour I watch as though not mine Scenes taken through edit Moments to carry through the night Still eyes tell me its coming My wait almost to an end And with my bones set in place I am lifted and taken
