Leaving You

I put my hands in the dirt My love for you was fake "Sometimes you must hurt In order to heal" Mrs. Allison states I thought you'd be alright As we went our seperat ways But all those sleepless nights Kept me too far away Could I've done something right For this love I should have saved? The tears, they blurr my sight As I weep here at your grave. Such a suicide And the fault is what I take The guilt from deep inside Devours me away It strips me of my pride It utters, and sputters "It's ok" But your tears whispered "obide" And I fear your tears were betrayed
