Leisure Balm
Leisure Balm Golden spindles of luminous light Striking sand and water clear Tropical trees do bow and sway Trade winds gentle blowing near The skies of baby blue intrigue The fairest princess of the seas With cotton clouds to lie upon She tucks them tight around her knees. White mesh hammock in the trees Azure water breaking sand Leisure time rejuvenates, The soul and spirit of the land. I close my eyes and I behold Your luscious life of healing balm For if I had a ship with sail Off to your shores I’d surely come. IlaMae (Ike) Stucki ©4/26/12

I am a Registered Nurse.. I have loved writing for as far back as I can remember. My first writing was experienced by drawing as a child. In 7th grade I wrote a poem about Abraham Lincoln that won an award and was read on the radio in Salt Lake City....
