let him be
Let him be The drive too long As the sky filled with mourning We rally to honour a fallen hero still in disbelief we go on Our arrival met by a convoy Of fellow mourners Still shattered, but let him be He let his wings kiss the wind Unstoppable in his quest to succeed, he made it Breaking ground, believing when no one could Don’t hold him back, let him be He burned tyres across the streets From his home town to the towns on the far north of Southern African region, let him fly A hero has fallen Our hearts crack and blood oozes out The pain is too deep, but let him be For the path he chose was the path of passion As his body is laid to rest, fellow soldiers salute Cracking the silence with 21 gun shots Fellow bikers rev in his memory Their harmonic sounds of speed and power slashed open the wounds that we sought to heal let him be Sad, a sad day indeed when a son looses his father And a father looses his son I remember the quote that said “I have never seen a man cry, till I see a man die” It’s hard to bid farewell but let him be Angels await him with a guard of honour in heaven Don’t hold him back Just let him be
