Life is great!

Having said a bit on ageing, somewhat tongue-in-cheek, My firmly held views, you'll see, are not at all that bleak! Part of that which follows, I have said before; Some steadfast convictions, I now will underscore! A positive thinker who clearly perceives Great things to come, and firmly believes That the best lies ahead, and not in the past, Living life to the full, right up to the last! I welcome this day, on a sunny Spring morn; With languorous stretching, and noisy big yawn! Yes, there are a few aching bones... But life is great, no room for moans! A bracing shower, cobwebs blown away; Healthy breakfast, to kickstart the day! Play cheerful music, while I am dressing; Then off to work...employment a blessing! Challenges each day, need not be a bind; Meet them head-on, in right frame of mind! Life's a great gift, sent from Heaven Above, To be lived with courage, compassion and love! Scaled Alpine heights, and then back to earth; From moments more sombre, to great joy and much mirth! How bodes the future?...foretell I cannot; What e'er betides, it will have my best shot!
