How my lilac love does have The softest scent so sweet At the weeds her petals laugh Like wings do laugh at feet Far beyond the earth so strong Into the sky she shoots Her purple yawn does wake the dawn To feed her thirsty roots Wake dear dawn, a sun do spawn So might he brightly bear The love my lonely lilac longs Tis this love most fair Now dear sun, do find a cloud Whose mist your bliss does hide Let this thunder rumble loud And lightning lash with pride For rain he brings, lilac sing Dance about the drops Grace you bring to everything On nothing are you lost
