Little girl
Hand of darkness Covering her pleading mouth Silencing her cries Silencing her fear Don’t cry little girl, It’ll be over soon How dare he believe that How dare he say Every day of her life will now Be encased with the strangling fear Of his venom Don’t cry, little girl Anger boils inside her throat Her mothers and sisters before her Watching Weeping for there hurting baby Don’t cry, little girl Lying still she waits Eyes blurred with his power It’ll be okay little girl, just close your eyes The darkness Of her eyelids soothe her Good job, little girl I am not your little girl. His hand lifts But the darkness hangs on her Lips A black stain of her innocence Pressed against her skin A tear, a scar Unseen by the ignorant, deceived, nieve eye But felt So guiltily By his little girl.
