Little Man

Hm?Hey man. What’s the matter? Come on in, babe. You alright? Do you need to use the potty? What’s the time, is it still night? Climb on up here, you’re okay. It’s just a spider, you can hush A hug is fine, kid. Day or night You’re still little, there’s no rush. You’re just fine now, little man You’re just like me when I was small Back when I was perfect still MyMom gave hugs, when I would fall We both feel better now, you see? No monsters when I hit the light Wish it was that way for me Youalways are my little knight Goodnight, my boy. I love you so Let’s try the potty and hit the sack If you need me, you just holler But that spider won’t be back I’ll miss you, babe, when you’re my size I guess I miss my small self, too From back when all my hugs were free And there was everything to do.

Not much to say. I'm a father of four, working to keep my pygmies fat and happy. I have always liked Robert Frost, but a recent book that I'd stumbled across introduced me to John Donne.
