Lonely Consequences
Unheard, silent growls Foolishly walking alone On his trail, it prowls The chill sinks to bone Somewhere near, a twig snaps Look left, look right "What on Earth was that?" He almost turns to flight Fear induces a misstepped pace Down a hill he tumbles Heart now in a fast race The surroundings all rumble Striking head on stone Pain compels a deep sleep Unconciously lying-- not alone Something quietly creeps Awakening with throbbing skull On his head, a blood-gushing lump Suroundings, red, grey and dull Mind feels like a crappy dump Eyes, disbelieving, open wide He landed in a dark barrow Fear rushing in like a terrible tide Terror piercing like an icy arrow Face turns pale-white and sickly Floor with bodies of the dead Looking down, feeling something sticky Hand resting on a bloody, severed head An erie, unknown, groaning hum Should he try to run? From the darkness, something does come Will his life be done? The area swirled, becoming dizzy Terror controlled his speeding brain Emotions made his mind busy Event threatening to turn him insane The Judis-kissed creature appears It's burning eyes stare him down A deadly stare, playing on one's fears A gaze that causes one to drown Fangs are bared with a dripping flash Forward it moves in a lightning dash Blood hits the floor in a gross splash A wound created-- a bloody gash T'was momentary pain Then, gone through the eternal door Another life easily slain Another dead body on the floor
