Long Distances Make Me Sick

03 Aug 2009

·J. Maw

long car rides make me queeze that's how I feel when you're not with me it's like I'm holding the longest sneeze and still, it's you I cannot see. windows down, warm night air's nostalgic caress it makes me think of smooth surfaces your skin, and billowing dress in the wind, my only hope to find this softness. it's only over the longest drives the eerie silence of macadam and miles what it adds up to but our wasted lives spent far apart, on roads less travelled . . . . . . with only the company of turn-stiles.
