Lose You
Untamed, my wild heart lingers. Emotions disheveled. Love unrequited. A storybook ending missed. You were a journey to nowhere- a sudden stop- A dead-end sign unforeseen and the crash that left me but pieces scattered. Broken. Vulnerable. What I could not give is all you had, but what you would have received was everything else not in your grasp. Still your agenda was not my own. A divided impulse wavered on indecision. Reluctant to choose. Select. Desire. A carbon copy mistress: tall, slim with the heart of duty and servitude; I cannot compete. I am different; unique. What drew you to me. Measurement on surreal scales, cast aside for being me. Should have known it would not last. The genuine article relies not on deception, but a reliance on respect. Just the same, I move forward looking onto the time when memory no longer aches. Freedom surges in my heart as I lose you a little more each day.

I just like to read and review poetry when I am not writing some rhymes myself.
