Losing you

Meant as a song -------------------------------------- It did not happen overnight There were no tears, there was no fight But there was silence louder than all words They'd say that we just grew apart And that we knew deep in our hearts That there was now a void between our worlds And now when someone says your name Nonchalantly I look away. Don't want to force myself to say: "What's she been up to all these days?" With a fake smile I push it aside To the back of my mind I'm tired of the game Of who is to blame I don't want to feel the pain Of losing you anymore You thought I judged you - maybe so I thought you were out of control I tried to help the best I could - in vain I'm older now and I look back I wish that I'd cut you some slack But your chaotic life seemed just insane And now when someone says your name Nonchalantly I look away. Don't want to force myself to say: "What's she been up to all these days?" With a fake smile I push it aside To the back of my mind I'm tired of the game Of who is to blame I don't want to feel the pain Of losing you anymore
