Lost and found pt.1: Followed
Behind me, my past drags nonchalantly by a thread depending on me to guide it's way. I've tried with all my might to amputate that single thread from it's core. Do i have something it needs? I watch as my pleads for help melt into paralyzed puddles which dry and flake to dust. Hope is what i lack and courage is what i pray to find. Continuosly, i saw at that thread of steel knowing it's useless. Visions of hurt and torture overflow me, doubt for my future sucks me dry. I drift until i reach the edge of a grassy cliff. Looking down, fog shields my veiw, increasing the terror and curiousity inside my shakened body. Friendly voices fill my head telling me to jump. i squeeze my eyes closed soaking my shirt in salty tears. I must be free of my past, but will jumping save me?
