Lost and lethal
Silence can be heard, Like the bells ringing, Echo the painful sonnets, Echo the nothing vibration. Read the blank stare Lost again in chaos, Fade into yesterday’s grimace That lingers on the wind. Monsters in my head Beasts in my face, Regurgitate the platitudes But let them bite deep. Been here before But you don’t hear me, My mind now running Trying to overcome me. Out there makes me weary though My voice slim, But like someone spun, needing a fix, I need to scream. Now that mind without a sound Just echoes silently lingering, Tries to read another book Before I forget how to write.
