Love (An Extended Metaphor) Love is a tree Blowing free Kisses in shades Fruits and flowers Clouds bring showers Love is a dream Woven deep within Two hearts in One seedling Love is a song Sung at same time By two souls With a common goal Love is the peace An extended bliss Once tasted Never to miss Love is the hope On which blooms life Withstanding all Suffering and strife... -------------------------------------- Author note: An extended metaphor is a comparison between two unlike things that continues throughout a series of sentences in a paragraph or lines in a poem, expressing the unfamiliar in terms of the familiar.
