Love's Gentle Touch

03 Mar 2007

·Mistral

Tender thoughts of you embrace me gently and I think; how delicate we are! Like flower petals frayed in gusts of wind, torn and cast aside, singed and withered in blistering sun, ripped full of holes by relentless hail - so do we suffer life’s harsh seasons. Yet, as fresh mists rise in early morning sun and dewdrops feed thirsty earth, as new days smile upon those blossoms, they burst into salute of nature’s glory. So do we when Love caresses dismal spirits. Then I think; how fortunate we are that her lips parted, exhaling her essence, breath warming our souls as she kissed a blessing upon doubting hearts, and I know all of sorrows past were worth this wait; that you and I could find solace in Love’s gentle touch.
