Love That Was Torn Apart At The Seams

Written By Glenn McCrary™ & Jon T. Jeffries At one point in time My heart was warm and whole But you ripped it into millions of pieces And now it is black and cold Now this is not something That I could have foretold But the move that you made Was pretty damn bold With a simple matter of words You seem to get the best of me And now I am sitting here In a sea of agony And the thought of you leaving Is such a tragedy Lord why did this Have to happen to me? All I was trying to do was help Can't you see? But when you took things out of proportion It really affected my belief That you were so sweet That's like saying You are the forbidden apple On my apple tree You dropped me like a bad habit And you can't pick me back up The plans of the future You just had to disrupt I feel as if I am paying for my sins For I have fallen And you have gained the upper hand Until I took my pride and dignity Back again Now I have To take a stand For I have realized That I am still a man Somebody help me I'm drowning in an endless sea of grief And I'm still sitting here in pain That I need to relieve But even though my heart Has not fully mended I've realized That our relationship has ended By Glenn McCrary © 2009 Glenn McCrary (All rights reserved)
