Love Will Never Fail

Love Will Never Fail We walked in crunchy, colored leaves, We kissed beneath the fall time trees. We held each others’ warm soft hand, I felt your love, and life was grand! Then winter came; the world turned cold. Yet, I was toasty in your hold. At Christmas time you promised me You’d love me for eternity. You gave to me a token of Your lasting bond, eternal love. Around my finger placed so tight, A diamond shone forever bright. Through times of heartbreak, times of tears, You’ve stood by me throughout the years. My life is rich because of you… You always saw my dreams came true. We’ve walked with God through rain and shine. When things weren’t great, they still were fine. We raised a special family. Each of them, a specialty. Now in the winter of our years… We still share hurt, we still share tears. But sweetheart, I will always know, You’re by my side when cold winds blow. I hope you know; I will be there, And give to you my gentlest care. And though I’m not real strong, clear through; My love will never wane for you. Happy 41st Anniversary Honey, Your wife for eternity, IlaMae (Ike) Stucki © 4/1/12

I am a Registered Nurse.. I have loved writing for as far back as I can remember. My first writing was experienced by drawing as a child. In 7th grade I wrote a poem about Abraham Lincoln that won an award and was read on the radio in Salt Lake City....
