Loving Twice
I used to think that moving on was unkind Mean Making light of what once was Did you truly love if you can leave it behind? But we leave so much behind That becomes a landmark Graves Checkpoints All of them mean something Leave a scar Change us Maybe for the better, maybe not But they help us grow into ourselves I once heard a widow say, that to remarry Is to love two men for different reasons but the same amount For the rest of your life For love does not divide, my darling It multiplies Grows And grows Stronger and brighter the more we have to share Another chance at love should never be squandered For love Real, true, unstoppable love Is a privilege Something some can only dream of So take it Live that dream to the fullest For that is the next best thing for us dreamers
