Lucidity
I sit here and digress on this worn out park bench you know the one....its where we first met and yet, in this moment, I feel that my words along with this bench mean very little to you as you have found someone new someone you call hun and a home that's tucked away for two I sit here, I digress, play and repeat It hurts for me to even think about the pairing we use to be such a lovely and lively couple, they would say our presence together was so electric that when we touched I could feel that spark the static shock surge inside of me it would engulf the room with such vibrant energy you filled my life with such hope yet cemented all the voids within me on the nights that you were absent from my bed those voids that you caved in begin to bleed right through me I thought we had each other forever but now after thinking about it, we can call it youth Maybe it was expectations or maybe it was the reality of it all, you were the settler captivated by my wounds in love with the idea of fixing me no room for logic to find it's way through for me as the settlee, I felt you were too good for me with knowing this I built you up so quickly and latched to you so heavily that you became my sword against the world my light against the dark my crutch that held me up by the end of it all, I didn't see the answer that was glimmering in front me you were never in love...... with me anyway it was bliss for you but it had it's run I know now that I was never your first choice or your second I was just simply there, waiting for someone to show me some sort of love but that was then and this is now it is time for me to let go and leave our memories behind I'm moving along to a brighter tomorrow I hope to find love anywhere but here So incase if you ever find your way back to this worn out park bench, carved, underneath, into the wood is a heart and in the heart it reads Thank you for the lucidity
