Luck is not a Lady.
Seven years now have i lived in torment; nothing’s new. It's that black cat that crossed my path After falling in love with you. Tears, like stars fall from my face. Each bears a wish for you. Please return and shut this valve Of this streaming river blue. But Lady Luck, she does not smile. In fact, i think she scowels at me. I’ve had bad luck in love it seems, while others laugh with glee. I can but hope my luck will change. I keep a penny in my shoe, and a four leaf clover to my heart while i’m daydreaming of you.
