Lucy
Could love be overrated? but she's unlike anyone you've ever dated the world fell silent the moment she opened the door, your staring, you know it, but you can't help it. You know her type, an air of grace, elegance and dignity cloak her like an impenetrable shield. Untouchable They mock you, your friends roll their eyes whenever you bring her up."Not again!" they plead, trying desperately to save the last strings of their sanity. "Out of your league" you think, you know. You wildest dream, your greatest woe, all together in one flesh defying form. Divine you play the scenario back in your mind. If only she noticed, if only she'd see, the look in your eyes, her lover to be. You hesitate, procrastinate and regurgitate whatever you ate; "Butterflies, my ass", you think, "That's a fucking bear" Anxious It hurts you to see her, your willing to die, the feeling inside you are bursting to cry. If only you had noticed, if only you had seen her sad little smile, a glimmer of pain. If only she knew how much you had cared, then maybe, just maybe, she wouldn't of dared, to have all those pills, to stop all the pain, to stop all the tears from falling in vain. You tell me you loved her, you tell me you cared, now I want you to tel me if you knew she was dead. Truth The world you see, is not as it seems. Your judgment was clouded by trivial things. Her facade, it seems, tricked all, save one, she knew that she felt it had to be done. Regret Death came quickly, when she called its name, the pills acted quickly to ease all her pain. You tell me you loved her, you tell me you cared. Now I want you to tell me, if you knew her name.
