MAN 101: GENERAL OBSERVATIONS * A man always knows how to make some money Or find ways to get some, if he hasn’t any A man will protect you and look out for you When you’re down and out, he always comes through A man always knows how to make things from scratch Then fix them back up when they should become trash all males everywhere can imitate car sounds they learn just as soon as they spring from the womb A man must know how to kick some ass Or at the very least, make you think that he has. Every man I know, is proud of his job And if he doesn’t have one, it will make him sad While a man may speak easily to dogs and children he has a hard time with beautiful women A real man will always, own up to his mistakes at the very least, he’s hoping, that no one will notice them! A man doesn’t generally care to dance He must be half drunk or in need of romance. He feels that it just might be below his dignity Like wearing a pink shirt, it just doesn’t fly A man pounds the table to prove his point Points his finger at you, so you never forget A man’s fashion sense is generally uncontrived What’s now in his closet, can serve him for life A man turns to look, when passing a woman, it’s not all his fault, it’s just something in him A man as a rule, will help you do the dishes If you don’t tell his friends and abide by those wishes He will paint your toenails, if you’re 9 months pregnant His big hands holding clumsily that tiny little brush He rarely shows tears, and he never ever weeps Lest all the other men he knows, might see him as weak He knows automatically what is true North He has a strong grip to open all jars. A man forms opinions not easily swayed Except when he’s horny and wants to get laid Though he tries my patience, all around Sometimes he is fun to have around And man oh man, when he starts his engine He can make me purrrrrr, just like a kitten! * WordPlaya, May 2009

I enjoy writing and since rediscovering the power of poetry, it has brought me much joy! My favorite poet is Richard Brautigan, and I am a big fan of freestyle poetry, as I find it less limiting and most creative. I also like spoken word poetry. ...
