Mary
Her blood is everywhere It runs through our veins We carry it with us like a sacred wedding ring, Or a childhood scar. She follows us through our daily life Dances as we dance, Falls as we fall. Perhaps she laughs when we smile? Her kindness and love flow to our hearts And our eyes remember the cheeky twinkle of her jokes Our cheeks remember the joyful greetings And our hands still feel the sad goodbyes. In us she is merged with all those that she loves. Eyes closed and drifting her face forms an everlasting smile Now all her old aches and heartbreaks are forgotten And her innocent spirit is set free.
