MAYBE Maybe the world is an experiment Maybe anger was put here to see what would evolve. Maybe human being will self destruct Maybe people wear makeup to hide themselves. Maybe everyone has something beautiful about them and maybe scorn stems from sadness Maybe hatred is a veil for pain Maybe sadness is inevitable Maybe drugs are used as an escape form sorrow and maybe cages destroy what’s inside of them. Maybe God weeps Maybe everyone cries Maybe nothing lasts forever and maybe flowers scream when we pick them Maybe holding someone’s hand can work better than writing time a prescription Maybe trees can feel Maybe stars are angels Maybe words can cause more damage than a belt buckle Maybe a flower in even the darkest of corners has the potential to grow and maybe adults need to go outside and play every once in a while Maybe the person standing beside you needs to know that someone out there believes in them. Maybe the blind can see better than we can Maybe circus clowns get tired of smiling Maybe it’s alright to cry and maybe without struggle we would not understand what truly matters to us in life Maybe the man who sleeps in the park needs a hug just as much as he needs your spare change.
