An apple a day keeps the doctor away. (Proverb) . Apples are so expensive these days; you may as well have the doctor. (English Humor) . - You see, an apple a day Keeps the doctor away. I haven’t had apples for At least a year, but before I kept to an apple diet. - Do you mean that you had Only apples for your meals? - Exactly, but, when my apple bills Grew enormous, I gave up, And I have kept above Water. ________- I can’t follow. - Inflation! Apples are so Expensive nowadays! That’s no wonder, you may Have the doctor and even, I think, more than one.
