Memories Creeping In
Awakened from a sleep so deep To the harsh reality That again, it was all just a dream But it felt so real to me You were finally by my side And I felt such happiness and peace But now I lie here in this bed Longing for any kind of release Tormented by my own cruel mind As it plays these tricks on me Making me long for what's gone away And never again to be So now, I close my eyes so tight Against the memories creeping in Hoping my dreams won't hurt this time And that this battle, I will win
